Gleaming New Mall at Bukit Bintang

About a week ago, Kuala Lumpur just strengthened its position as on of Asia's best shopping haven. This is because another mall has joined the Bukit Bintang neighbourhood which is the Pavilion. This iconic landmark is situated on the site of the former Bukit Bintang Girl's School, opposite Starhill Gallery. Mainly caters to the upper middle class and elite class, with a stylish design, chic atmosphere and luxurious collections featuring both local and international labels.
I seriously have to say, it's a mall like no other in Malaysia. It can simply join the ranks of Siam Paragon or Hong Kong Times Square.
The designer boutiques have occupied the outer-shops of Pavilion which gives it an exclusive shopping atmosphere similar to New York's Fifth Avenue or Paris's Champs-Elysees.

Animal Abuse!! Look at the number of goldfish they stuffed in one tank... and without any oxygen pump.

The Pavilion Kuala Lumpur houses many exclusive designer boutiques. Most of which, are the first in Malaysia such as Jessica Simpsons collection, Mooks, Giordano concepts and Canali.
And Tangs made a comeback to Malaysia after it closed its store in Starhill a couple of years ago.
There are also other pre-existing stores in Malaysia such as Calvin Klein, Coach, Burberry and Armani Exchange. But the stores here are much bigger, some spanning over two levels.

Malaysia's largest coach store, opening November 2007.
Oh, and I managed to snap a picture with Marion Counter during Parkson's opening.
There was also a breathtaking performance by Tata Young

Had lunch at Pavilion a couple of days ago. There is quite a wide variety to choose from at the Lower Ground, although most of it are still under renovation. I dined at Pasta Mania and trust me the pasta sucks.
The Pavilion is designed in a way that it's so spacious.
There will never be a shortage of walking space

Everything is also glittery and shiny

Shopping at Pavilion is simply exclusive. No rubbing against shoulders, ass groping, or electric shock. lol. Simply luxurious

The concourse is a fabulous place to hold a Fashion Show
The main entrance facing the famed Jalan Bukit Bintang

Apart from Pavilion, The Gardens at Mid Valley has also opened its doors with the concept of "A Garden within a city". I've personally visited the place twice and I shall post it some time soon. Also on the list is the new wing of Sunway Pyramid which I believe is opening soon.
