Skybar

I'm obsessed with bars with good music and great view. Found it a great opportunity to visit Skybar with my American counterpart who coincidentally has a thing for good music and great view too. It was just another rainy night in KL when I tried to make a reservation at Skybar only to be told that they don't accept lat-minute reservations. Not willing to give up, we decided to go as walk-in guests.

Located on the 33th floor of Trader's Hotel Kuala Lumpur, the view here is magnificent. Music, ambience was great. Probably one of the best bars I've been to in KL. Unfortunately, we were told that there wasn't any place available especially at the terrace overlooking KLCC. Damn. This was just before I shocked myself by using a different approach in trying to get the hostess to get us that table. Minutes later I was approached saying that a table have been reserved for me at the terrace. At that moment, I was beginning to wonder whether it was me or my American relative who looks like he's a big spender. I have to compliment the servers and hostess though, they were very professional in dealing with guests and none of them seemed Malaysian to me as most of them had a Filipino accent.

The crowded bar on a Thursday evening

View of the terrace from the 34th floor. I wonder if any guests fell into the pool before. You'll never know what alcohol could do..

Mist shrouding the towers

It was a great experience being in one of the 'highest' bars in KL and just hanging out. Drinks were a little on the expensive side but heck, you're paying for the view. A standard cocktail costs about 36RM. This is just one cool place to be or be seen.

Just one bad thing, the lights of KLCC goes off slightly after midnight which makes the view rather dull where people will start leaving.
