Satay on a Sunday

I had the opportunity to savour Kajang's very own satay which made the small town famous. Not knowing which restaurant to choose, we chose Haji Samuri or something similar to that although I felt it was just as commercialised as any other eateries. Nevertheless, the satay served was scrumptious. It makes the French go ooh la la..

The secret to grilling the perfect satay I believe lies in the amount of oil soaked within the tender meat.

Also not to forget the spicy peanut sauce that makes you crave for more, usually consumed alongside onions, cucumbers and ketupat [sticky rice dumpling]

After driving all the way to Kajang for that wonderful lunch, there's nothing better than heading North East to Hulu Langat, renowned for its hot springs, cascading waterfall, lush greenery and village-like atmosphere. However, halfway through the journey it started pouring heavily which forced the excursion to be postponed till further notice.. Instead, we found ourselves at Ampang Lookout Point. We intend to watch the sun set behind the towering skyscrapers of KL but again, because of the weather, we didn't even get a glimpse of the sun.

I can see Atika's mansion.. hehe

A furious storm brewing in the sky..

Greens and more greens

Relax, unwind,..

with a cuppa coffee on a rainy Sunday afternoon

There was nothing more blissful than a boiling cup of coffee, an obstructed view of KL's skyline and a blanket of mist enveloping your surroundings. Quality, well spent with family.

Panoramic shot of KL

While Malaysia is also renowned for its culinary enchantment, most of Malaysia's best kept secret lies in the back alleys of KL's most notorious neighbourhood. A fine example is the steamed fish head situated in the back alley of Jalan Raja Laut, just opposite the Chow Kit "haven"

Back alleys like this are filled with drug addicts and other weird members of the society that comes after food enthusiast asking for money. freaky..

as secluded as it may look, it's definitely a place you don't wanna go alone especially after 7. Unless you're game for some really good food. XD
