B-day

No, I'm not talking about Beyonce's previous album. I simply meant my 19th birthday which was alsmot 3 months back. Finally found time to blog about how wonderful a small scale celebration could be with wonderful friends and family. Nope, no clubbing, no big bashes and no extravagant gatherings. Just kept private, simple and exquisite.

One the eve of my Bday, Junior literally kidnapped me from home to join him in "celebrating his belated birthday" in A&W. Little did I know it was meant to be a surprised.. No wonder June kept insisting that I go which is usually not the norm. *hints*

My extremely unique cake with a chinese candle and added on melted chocolate courtesy of Naomi. Although it may look disgusting, it was heaven...

The groupies. Coincidentally, this particular A&W holds back alot of fond memories from my childhood days.

Then headed to Jaya One for a drink before joining the old highschool peeps for a midnight movie where I met Reagan.

On the day itself, went over to Bavarian Bierhaus for dinner with my parents. Finally, another restaurant review! This is a German restaurant that specialices in nothing else but what Germany's famous for; pork and some say its beer too. Frankly, I'm not a fan of pork, I probably consume pork once in a month only. However, this was an exception. I mean, who could resist juicy Pork Knuckles, delectable bratwurst sausages and a tall glass of authentic German beer? Even the Germans forgo their six-packs for a "barrel", if you get what I mean..

The ambience of the restaurant is strictly German. Reminds me of a tavern. Portions are quite big so sharing would be a great option. As there was only 3 of us, we ordered the Crispy Pork Knuckles with Smoked bacon and Honey as well as a Bratwurst Sausage accompanied by a tall glass of Paulaner. - An unforgettable experience.

The best match to a pork-themed dinner, German style

Our pork knuckles. It may look small in the pic but it's extremely large that we couldn't finish it.

Bratwurst Sausage with Butter Spinach. Spinach never tasted so good.

ma famille.

After dinner, went over to Fidel's again just to drink and catch up with some friends. We ordered 2 beer towers coz' it was Happy Hour. haha

After all the excess beer that night, there's nothing better than roadside steamboat also known as lok lok

To every exciting outing comes an intellectual one, thus an outing with my brothers and sisters from belian. It was my first time at BBQ plaza and probably the first for the rest too. haha. The funny part was they have plenty of pork too.. gosh.. I've had so much pork for the past 2 days.

To make things worse, there was no form of vegetable oil to lubricate the grill apart from lard. wowee.. Food was good although it makes you feel extremely guilty.

Tarzan and Jane.. I meant Aaron

Paul and I

Oh and you know that students get 15% off their meals at BBQ Plaza? Now you know.

Thank You everybody for the simple but exquisite Bday!
