First Servicio & Petaling Street

I had my first restaurant service not too long ago, *well almost a month ago, which explains how busy I am* For service I helped Atikah to come up with a centre piece... *I guess my mood was too good that time* So, I thought I can come up with some thing aw-inspiring. Unfortunately, I was so stressed up trying to think of the BOMB. Until like 10 hours before service, I browsed through the many junks and found some prom leftovers and bingo! Just wrap some plastic bottles with sugar paper, tie a few lidi sticks together, add some green wyres a fake flower, bouquet papers and VOILA! My best creation this year, so far... Man, I miss YE and Interact, the only channel for me to unleash my creativity and do all these kind of stuff.

My masterpiece...

L'escoffier

The bar

Overall service was great, kinda fun in a way. Jay, who was my guest turned up with 3 of his chicks who hardly ate their fish... sigh...

A super-cool shot of me and Joanne

After that, we had to reclean some of the cutleries coz' they were too dirty. But because all of us were too lazy and eager to end the service, we resorted to just wiping them... haha. I bet all of you who are reading this won't dine-in anymore. lol

After service, Li Lian came over to my campus coz' we're gona get a haircut in KL. We took the KTM to KL Sentral and then monorail to Medan Tuanku if I'm not mistaken. Our destination was Maju Junction Mall, a small tiny mall tucked along Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman with surprisingly "big" anchor tenants like Esprit, Tropicana Life, Wh, The Cotton Club and FOS, just to name a few.

The many KAMPUNG houses lining the KTM tracks... what an eyesore...

I see... a bird, a plane, NO!!! it's nothing...

The picturesque view of Kuala Lumpur from Brickfields

Look at li lian's retarded face

We got our hair cut at Derrick and Guys. Apparently that's where Misha Omar gets her hair styled.

After our haircut. Overall, it's damn freaking worth it. I shall disclose the price but trust me, it's worth it. and quite professional.

After that, we decided to walk through the Asian Heritage Row to get to the Dang Wangi lrt station to get to Petaling Street since there was so much time. While walking, I managed to grab a few breathtaking shots of the twin towers and the KL Tower's image reflected on a glass-windowed building.

As soon as we reached the Dang Wangi station, I was shocked to see the flight of stairs leading down to the ticketing counter... what on earth were the architects thinking? It's so bloody damn far... an escalator is needed badly...!

We were really lucky as the "Mwa Chi' lady was still open. Look at her tin biscuit overflowign with money. It is reported that she has been selling "Mwa Chi" at the same spot for more than 50 years and it's not difficult to wonder why. Her "Mwa Chi" is seriously the best I've eaten so far.

Right beside the "Mwa Chi" is a durian store. LOL. and they sold me one box for RM2... That's dead cheap.

I was looking for a white belt and sicne not of them wana sell it for the price I want, I decided not to buy and chill at Mcd's while waiting for them to forget me. lol.

And there was nothing else better to do besides taking photos..

OK... enough of photos. After like more than an hour, finally the vendors decided to sell it to me for RM15. haha. And there was this drama thingy happening on the streets. For some unknown reasons, all the vendors appeared to be conversing on the walkie-talkie and packing up all their stuff. lol. I guess the mata-matas were on their way. a few minutes later, they started to return with their stalls, then a few minutes later they start packing again. lol. They seriously should fire their spies....

Feast at "EEST"

One fine day, June invited Reagan and I to dine with her at EEST, pronounced as "east", at the Westin Hotel in KL. EEST serves oriental cuisine in a fine-dining atmosphere. A one-of-its-kind in Malaysia I would say. As the Westin KL is situated along Jalan Bukit Bintang, we got a chance to stroll along Malaysia's most vibrant shopping district.

The art of photography... what more can I say?

The Junction of Jalan Bukit Bintang and Jalan Sultan Ismail.

As soon as we reached the hotel, we were clueless as to where EEST is located. And we thought it is pronounced as E-E-S-T. SO... we went to the counter and ask where is E-E-S-T.. damn malu... sigh... =.="

We headed to the lift and June was so jakun that she asked me to take photo of the buttons... LOL

The Menu Cover...

June feeding me with peanuts... Gosh, I've been really tanned from the Pangkor trip...!

The interior of the restaurant is quite pleasing to the eye. It's a fusion of contemporary and oriental design. And it has an open kitchen concept - for the culinary-curious patrons...

June's Mango Mint Ice Blended.... yucks. lol. And unlike other conventional oriental caterings, EEST serves chilled water in a unique red coloured glass instead of Chinese tea.

Reagan's ee fu mee with some flakes that I've forgotten ... *I hope I spelled it correctly though*

June's Green Curry Coconut lalalalalala noodles. *Too long to remember*

My...... I FORGOTTEN!!! LOL. Something Thai chili jam lalalalalala

A successful picture taken after like 5 attempts...

Our meal was then ended with a complimentary dessert which is actually honeydew cut into the shape of a flower and coated with jelly. Looks simple but taste great! The food overall was OK la.. Not too bad but a little on the expensive side..

The exterior of the Restaurant

After lunch we ventured around the hotel to 'check it out'. We wanted to try the heavenly beds but all of us were too shy to ask.. haha

The spiralling design on the ceiling and a unique hanging glass sculpture

Not to forget, the toilets. One of the many things worth checking out in every hotel. lol.

The buffet spread viewed form above the coffee terrace.
camwhoring...

After that we went "jalan-jalan" around Starhill Gallery, Sungei Wang, Lot 10 and around the place.. lol.

The "fantasy" tunnel I would call it, connecting Starhill Gallery to the JW Marriott Hotel. Reminds me of the time I used to hangout with old school friends.
