Finally found a great place to dine just walking distance from my house. Of course, it would be much more comfortable to drive living in this extremely privileged life of ours. The place mentioned is none other than Frames, housed in TTDI Plaza, my latest and most frequent hangout spot lately. I was there for a dinner last month with the usual rock climbing buddies, namely Chin Wei, Jeremy and last but not least, backside. oh, I meant Roxanne. haha.

Frames, as its name suggests, is literally filled with frames. Most of them look the same but the thing setting them apart are the pictures displayed in them. A very simple decor with exquisite effect.

frames..

..and more frames
We were all so undecided on what to eat so someone proposed sharing which sounds like an awesome idea until we realised we had to make decisions with Jeremy. The only feedback we got from him was "anything la" or "wateva la" urgh. You can imagine our frustration. Nevertheless, we all came to a definite agreement and chose some house specialties as recommended by the attentive waiter.

For the first time, we got ourselves a bottle of Semillon Chardonnay from Marlborough. A collective decision influenced by Jeremy. haha. It definitely added to the glitz and glamour of the "last dinner".

We started off the meal with a simple Caesar's Salad with Chicken strips. Possibly one of the most expensive salad we've ever ordered but heck, it was large enough to accommodate 4 hungry scavengers like us.

Next on the menu was deep fried calamari. This one is prepared the western way so it obviously tasted better than those in the chinese eateries. Again, simple but scrumptious

Damn, I forgotten what was this called but it was some kind of pasta.. obviously.
(I can feel my sarcasm level increasing to that of Sue's)

The flickering flame from a candle to warm the evening

The upholstered dining seats where the girls lingered and hugged without knowing what stains were left behind. *grins

As for dessert, each of us ordered individually. This was a banana mousse cake with a squashed one-sided macaroon.

and also the classic dark chocolate mousse cake which was clearly too rich for me to handle

I opted for a tiramisu instead which was not bad for the price we're paying

Roxanne eating non-stop

Bill totalled up to 200 bucks. Quite reasonable and completely satisfying.

After dinner, we adjourned to nearby Fidel's for some lepaq session..
