Since most of my post are outdated, I figured that it would be great to blog about something more recent, like an hour ago? Still have a couple of travel posts in the pipeline but for now, it's feasting time in the Thursday night market at ss2. Gosh, I still can feel the China burger digesting in me. Pretty last minute excursion I would say, with just Sean and June. This Thursday version of the night market may not be as happening and lively as the Monday one or Taman Connaught but it has it own charm and variety that keeps the surrounding roads jam every Thursday.

stalls selling food like this are always crowded with onlookers like us, and also hungry Malaysians.

the scrumptious apam balik or apom or wtv you guys called it, made fresh and hot.
Visiting a market has always fascinate me especially those at night. Streets burst into colours with peddlers of all kinds with their own unique products and flamboyant style of preparing their street snacks. These vendours are so skilled that they produce their food in a nick of time but with the demanded quality, attracting the crowd to savour their delicacy.

for those who don't know what apam balik is, it's some sort of pancake related snack with a sweet nutty filling.
This night market has been in existence for some period of time. In fact, there was only one type of ice cream i would crave for back then in primary school which was this red bean umbrella ice cream. (I created the name myself). I used to love it so much that I'll force my dad to buy one for each of my family member and I'll end up eating their share. haha. Finally, my dad decided to trick me that the stall has ceased operation.. Guess what? I fell for it. lol

red bean with coconut milk ice cream.
While walking around exploring every stall, June and I just couldn't ignore this one.. That's not artificial mind you.

Chinese are just brutal and unfortunately I am a Chinese.
Back to more snacking, June and I bought our all time favourite of tapioca chips. They should commercialise it into Malaysia's national chips. Way cheaper and tastier than Pringles of Mister Potato but most importantly, it has a Malaysian taste.

The array of biscuits that June was hunting for
I mentioned China burger earlier. I didn't really know what it was until my recent trip to Taman Connaught night market where Sean and Junior bought it. I didn't try it that time as I was full to the brim with all those street snacks from Malaysia's longest Night Market. So, I decided to give it a try this time. China burger is actually similar to most conventional burgers just that it has an egg on one side of it which acts like the bun.

Trust me, I was quite full too but after savouring a bite of this, I continued munching like I was breaking fast. It comes in 2 types, spicy and non-spicy but I would strongly suggest to go for the spicy for that extra kick.
