Series of Misfortunate Events

As the title suggests, this whole post is dedicated to all the bad luck I've been experiencing for the past two months. Yes, I'm back in Kuala Lumpur after 3 months. I dearly miss Penang and all the newly made friends. However, the day prior to departure to Langkawi, some £*$"# thing happened at a waterfall situated within walking distance from our apartment. I have no idea what happened, but i dropped my camera at that pristine waterfall. yeah. The camera isn't even a year old. Well, shit happens. So I opened it, (warranty voided) tried to dry it and fix the lens like I did for a couple of my cameras before and WORKED. During the process, I managed to rectify the problem but the camera ended up with a rubber band and paper bandage. It looks horrible, but heck, it works. Thank God, I can actually use it while I was in Langkawi. But here comes the amusing part... I brought it to the Olympus Malaysia HQ. (Again). After 3 weeks (they promised 1 week) of evaluation and multiple phone calls, I was told this "Mr Shannon, your camera is ready for collection". I nearly fell of my chair out of joy. I didn't know they would have repaired it and charged me nothing... but the sentence was incomplete... "Oh erm, wait. Oh OH OH Sorry sorry sorry sorry"... your camera is beyond economical repair. ????? ok chill,... I managed to repair it with bandages and it's beyond economical repair. WHO exactly are their 'technicians'? Grandmothers? My grandmother can repair a TV B!TCH. Fine fine.. You win. No point arguing over the 30-minute wait to collect a "beyond economical repair" camera which made me 15 minutes late for Applied Tech class and a bloody toll that I don't know how much but it's alot. AARGH. Well, that's not all. About 3 weeks ago, my computer got struck by lightning. voila. Oh yea, forgot to mention the cordless phone, fax machine, modem and router. (life can't get any better) I guess that explains the absence of pictures and, ehhem... my absence in the blogosphere. Then today, I reached Pj Town at 4.50pm. From 5pm onwards, parking is free. SO what the heck, I'm just gona pop in a shop and pop out immediately. 1o minutes won't require a parking ticket. After all, civil servants are known to leave for home earlier than supposed. BAM!! I got my first summon in my entire lifetime... wtf? I thought I could remain clean on the road forever!!! Ok ,nvm, let's check the time the summon is issued... 4.59pm. Satu Dua Tiga... (counting) WTF??????? YOU FREAKING SUMMONED ME ON THE VERY LAST MINUTE??????????
MALAYSIA BOLEH!!!!
If only they completed projects on time like their summoners. Gosh man, don't make me start. Oh well.... let's talk about the bright side...

***THE BRIGHT SIDE***

Ok... Haha.

***Drum rolls***

Presenting...

My new camera... haha. Well, It's still somewhere in the factory or the warehouse but I've pre-ordered it and I'm expected to receive it somewhere next week!
Its features are simply amazing. Not really actually, but it's not only shockproof, it's waterproof and weatherproof. I loved the advert too... A lady dropped her camera, hit the metal railings and landed into the pool and it still works! damn! that's exactly what I need. If only I had it at the waterfall.

As for my computer, hmm... Still under repair but.... I have a laptop now but I don't have any pic of it yet... For the first time ever, I'm actually surfing the net in my room, on my bed, in the toilet, in front of the Tv, in the kitchen wherever, whenever, wtv. Of course, it is made possible with a new wireless router and built-in modem. But all these, of course involves money, which I think has totalled up in thousands. Did I mention that my sister's cyber-shot got snatched? yeah... It was replaced by a touchscreen cyber-shot. I guess every dark cloud has a silver lining.

The End
